Technology Project Updates

Wow! So much has been happening here in Technology that it is hard to keep up! The following are updates that have occured since the most recent Technology Report was posted for the June 12 Technology Committee meeting.

  • A pilot project was launched at the Verona Public to test Library Online print management with the Windows 7 image.
  • Stevens Point Public Library is up on Wiscnet via VPN.  
  • Madison Public Library is now connected to SCLS Headquarters via MUFN.
  • Beta testing of Kaspersky was launched at SCLS Headquarters. Kaspersky will be the new antivirus software and it has extra perks which you will hear about son.
  • The new Help Desk online form launched on June 18.

We have also updated the Technology Services projects list.  Please remember this is an ongoing work in progress and we haven't fleshed out all of the details yet.
