Partnering with Parents for Early Childhood Success

Parents are asked to take on the job of their child’s first teacher. With the support of youth library staff, caregivers can step into this role with confidence. From books and materials to programming and services, discover how the library can serve as a center for education in the community and how to apply a simple diversity audit to your book selections. Learn strategies to mentor those taking care of the under 5 set and leave this session ready to build on the belief that reading for fun is essential to lifelong success.
