Some Google Image search tips
Do you use Google's image search? If so, here are some excellent posts with tips from the SearchReSearch blog:
- Use "chips" to extend or modify your original search. Doing an image search for "rose"? Pay attention to those colored rectangles at the top of the results - they offer suggestions for ways to modify your query. For example, click on "watercolor" or "abstract" or "pastel" to narrow your search.
- Upload an image to Google so it can find similar kinds of images (Search-By-Image). In addition to uploading a picture, how can you nudge Google in the right direction for a successful identification? This post includes a suggestion for adding search terms as well as well as instructions for limiting results to a particular website.
